General Asim Munir took over the command of the Pakistan Army. The outgoing Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa handed over the command of the army to the new Army Chief General Asim Munir. High civil and military officials participated in the ceremony.
When the change of command ceremony began in the Pakistan Army, the retired Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and the new Army Chief General Asim Munir first visited the martyrs’ memorial. On the arrival of GH, General Qamar Javed Bajwa placed flowers on the martyrs’ memorial and recited Fatiha. After that, the bands of the Pakistan Army presented the tunes of the national anthem and national songs, and the national flag was saluted.
