Grand Independence Day Celebrations Planned in Jhelum Valley Under Deputy Commissioner’s Leadership
Hattian Bala, August 11, 2023 – An important meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Jhelum Valley, Syed Fida Hussain Kazmi, to discuss the upcoming celebrations for Pakistan’s Independence Day on August 14th. The meeting took place in Hattian Bala and brought together a diverse array of participants including officials, law enforcement representatives, business leaders, and members of the media.
The proceedings commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, fostering a solemn and respectful atmosphere. The gathering included notable figures such as SP Jhelum Valley Khurram Iqbal, Chairman Municipal Committee Hattian Bala Sajawal Khan, President of Anjuman Tajran Hattian Bala Syed Faisal Geelani, President of Anjuman Tajran Chanari Farooq Raisani, along with SHOs, members of the business community, journalists, and various officials.
During the meeting, consensus was reached on the grand celebrations planned for Independence Day. The occasion will be marked with fervor and patriotism as both the flags of Kashmir and Pakistan will adorn government buildings across the district. Festivities will encompass a range of programs to engage the community.
The epicenter of the celebrations will be in Hattian Bala, where the headquarters will be established. The celebrations will commence with a siren at 8:52 AM, serving as a poignant reminder of the significance of the day. The highlight of the day will be an Independence Day rally, which will journey from Kaninan to the Chakothi Line of Control, symbolizing the unity and dedication of the people to their nation.
The spirit of the day will be embraced by local markets, which will be adorned with flags of both Kashmir and Pakistan, underscoring the joint celebration. Deputy Commissioner Syed Fida Hussain Kazmi, speaking during the meeting, emphasized the importance of Pakistan as a precious gift from Allah. He expressed his determination to commemorate Independence Day with the utmost respect and dignity. He also urged the Anjuman Tajran to ensure that every shop proudly displays the flags of Kashmir and Pakistan, reinforcing the sense of unity and gratitude.
Assistant SP Jhelum Valley, Khurram Iqbal, assured attendees that the police were fully prepared to ensure the security of the celebrations. Apart from overseeing security during the main event at the district headquarters, they will also provide security for the rally from Kaninan to Chakothi, ensuring that the day proceeds smoothly and safely.
The meeting concluded with resounding support from Anjuman Tajran and civil society, who pledged their commitment to celebrating the 14th of August with unwavering enthusiasm and pride.
