President signed the summary, General Asim Munir appointed Pakistan Army Chief
President Arif Alvi has signed a summary of important appointments after which General Asim Munir has been appointed as the new Pakistan Army Chief and General Sahir Shamshad as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee.
It should be noted that the summary of the appointment of Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Army Chief was received by the President today after which President Arif Alvi met Chairman PTI Imran Khan in Lahore and then returned to Islamabad.
President Arif Alvi approved the advice of the Prime Minister under Article 243 of the Constitution.
After the President approves the summary, the Prime Minister’s House will issue a notification for the appointments of Army Chief and Chairman Joint Chiefs.
