Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, visited the Turkish Embassy to express his condolences and solidarity with the earthquake victims in Turkey. He handed over a relief check of 48 crore rupees from the Azad Kashmir government to the Turkish Ambassador, while he personally donated 1 crore rupees towards the relief efforts.
During his visit, Prime Minister Khan also led a prayer for the martyrs of the earthquake at the Turkish Embassy. He praised the resilience of the Kashmiri people and their deep bond with the people of Turkey, noting how in the past Turkey had provided much-needed assistance during the devastating 2005 earthquake in Kashmir.
The Prime Minister acknowledged the challenging circumstances caused by the earthquake, but expressed confidence in the resolve of the Turkish people, particularly under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He reiterated the solidarity between the people of Azad Kashmir and Turkey and promised that the Kashmiri people would stand shoulder to shoulder with their Turkish brothers and sisters in this difficult time.
